Missouri Valley College didn’t have to look far when it had a vacancy for head baseball coach, hiring Mike DeMilia after a search that spanned just a few days.

DeMilia has a wealth of experience at all levels. He has served as head baseball coach at Lincoln University, and most recently was head coach at Blair Oaks High School and won the 4A state championship in 2024. He currently coaches the Jefferson City Renegades, a summer collegiate team. “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity,” said DeMilia. “There is so much happening at Missouri Valley; they’re really on the move. It’s an honor to join the team.”

DeMilia is one of the first hires by Vice President of Athletics Marsha Lashley, who said she looks forward to what DeMilia will bring to the baseball program. DeMilia’s first job as a head coach came in 2006 at Omaha Bryan High School. He also coached at Millard North High School, and Truman State University.

He earned his master’s degree at Oklahoma State University, and a bachelor’s at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
