Several state highways in Carroll and Chariton Counties will have potholes patched along their surface over the next four days.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is closing sections of Route M from Route 11 west to Triplett on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1, with closures both days from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews in Chariton County will then close the entirety of Route U outside Prairie Hill on Wednesday and Thursday. In Carroll County, crews will patch potholes between Monday and Thursday along Route UU between Route 65 in Carrollton and Route 139 in Bosworth, and Route T between Routes W and Z.

Pavement repairs are underway this week along two sections of Route 87. Crews have already begun work on the pavement in Moniteau County, from Route 179 outside Jamestown south to Route A north of Eldon. A second project will begin Tuesday in Howard County from Route 240 in Glasgow to U.S. Route 40 north of Boonville. Elsewhere in our area, a culvert replacement is planned along Route F east of Latham this week, while general roadside work will take place today Monday through Wednesday on Route JJ south of Armstrong. Each of these projects will see traffic reduced to one lane with crews flagging traffic through the workzone.
