Two teens from Macon County were injured—one seriously—after their vehicle slipped off the roadway Monday, June 30.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle crash around 5:45 p.m. on Route C a mile north of College Mound. Troopers report that a 17-year-old from Macon was driving his vehicle south when the vehicle hydroplaned and went off the right side of the roadway, overturning. The driver sustained minor injuries, while a 14-year-old boy from Excello suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital.
