Marshall Municipal Utilities is preparing to finalize a draft agreement for the construction and operation of a wastewater treatment plant at the Marshall Junction.

MMU General Manager Jeff Bergstrom says MMU was approached by the county to operate the plant once it’s constructed. Bergstrom says the county will reimburse MMU for the operation and maintenance of the plant.

 

Bergstrom says the plant will be a big step forward in developing the Marshall Junction.

Bergstrom plans to present the draft agreement to the Board of Public Works for approval during its next meeting on Wednesday, July 9.
