A full day of activities to celebrate Independence Day is set for residents of and visitors to Moberly, as the city’s Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual 4th of July Extravaganza.

Parks director Troy Bock says the festivities will begin early Friday with the 5K run.

The gates to Howard Hils Athletic Complex will open at 4 p.m., with food service beginning at 5 p.m.

Bock adds that the complex will have ample parking.
