The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department is planning for a pair of road closures next week in the southern part of the county for maintenance projects.

Crews will complete chip-and-seal work beginning Monday, July 14 on Walnut School Road, from Smasal Road south to Route V, with daily road closures planned until Friday. Similar work is also scheduled for Whiteman Road along the Pettis/Benton County line from U.S. Route 65 east to U Highway, beginning Wednesday.

The department reminds the traveling public to watch for work zone signs and barricades, and to not drive around the barricades. Anyone with questions about either project can contact the Pettis County Road and Bridge Department.
