Governor Mike Kehoe has named Nelson Dinsmore as the new presiding commissioner of Linn County.

The Meadville resident is the co-owner and general manager of Butterfield and Associates Grain, and is a certified crop adviser. Dinsmore has previously served on the Meadville R-IV School Board and the Meadville Board of Aldermen. He fills the vacancy caused by the death of longtime commissioner Dick King in late March.
