The Saline County Commission will open bids at their session Wednesday, July 16 for a new storm siren in the county.

The bids are for the purchase and installation of a new storm siren intended to serve the Arrow Rock State Historic Site. It’ll be the second straight session where commissioners will open bids, following the submission of three bids at the July 2 session for the county’s banking services.

Also at Wednesday’s session, commissioners will receive an update from Conner Swift, executive director of the Marshall-Saline County Development Corporation. The quarterly meeting of Develop Saline County will follow tomorrow’s commission session. Both meetings will take place in the commission chambers at the Saline County Courthouse.
