The City of Glasgow is seeking another round of bids for the replacement of the front door at City Hall.

The Board of Aldermen received the update at their meeting Monday, July 14. Details of the bid notice have been posted on the city’s Facebook page. Interested bidders will need to submit their sealed bid to City Clerk Tiara O’Kee at City Hall no later than July 31. The bids will be opened at the next Glasgow Board of Aldermen meeting Aug. 11.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, aldermen agreed to have St Charles-based Munibit design the city’s website, nearly a year after the previous website went offline. Aldermen also gave the go-ahead to OWN Engineering to commence work on their project to overhaul the city’s water system. The board also received updates on the city’s bridge projects, and plans before the planning and zoning commission to build eight duplexes for a senior living villa.
