A Sedalia man was arrested and charged after police executed a search warrant at his residence on Thursday, July 17.
According to a probable cause statement, detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit began investigating Randy Baker after two informants allegedly saw him in possession of methamphetamine packaged for sale in June. Detectives say Baker make trips to the Kansas City area to pick up the drugs.
Sedalia police served a search warrant at Baker’s residence, where methamphetamine, baggies, and a digital scale were located. Baker was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Baker denied using or selling the methamphetamine, stating it belonged to another subject who hasn’t been to his home in several months.
Baker is facing charges for trafficking drugs in the second degree and delivering a controlled substance. Bond was set at $125,000 cash or surety, with Baker needing to be GPS monitored upon release.
