
Governor Mike Kehoe has announced two appointments to the Missouri State Fair Commission, including a new face from the Kansas City area.
The governor’s office announced Friday, June 18 that Kehoe would nominate Jared Hill of Kansas City to the commission. Hill is the president and owner of a railroad maintenance and emergency services company. He’s a member of the Platte County Fair Board and an active member of Eagle Scout Troop 249. If confirmed by the Senate, Hill will succeed Ed Adams on the commission.
The Senate will also need to consider the nomination of Monroe City farmer Todd Hays for another term on the commission. Hays is the vice president of Missouri Farm Bureau, and previously served on the Monroe City Farm Board. He’s also active in the Monroe City Agri-Leaders.
A total of 11 appointments for various boards and commissions were announced Friday by Kehoe. They include three nominations to the Child Abuse and Neglect Board, two appointments to the Committee of Professional Counselors, and two members to the Board of Governors at Southeast Missouri State University.
