A project to replace old and faded road signs throughout Saline County is almost halfway done as crews try to finish the project before the start of winter.
Saline County E911 Director Stacie Smith says her office has been working to replace all the road signs in the county, starting with the major highways before moving to residential and rural roadways.
Smith says signs on Highway 65, Missouri Route 240, Route 41, and Highway 20 have all been replaced. Crews will be working on the county’s signage the rest of the summer and into the fall, hoping to have the project complete before the start of winter.
Smith also asks residents to be patient and to contact her office about any other problems with the county’s signs.
