
The Slater School District Board of Education approved action items regarding cafeteria prices for the 2025-2026 school year, as well as bids for milk, bread, and fuel services during its meeting on Tuesday, July 22.
The approved a ten cent increase in breakfast and lunch prices for the upcoming school year. Superintendent Dr. Terry Lorenz says this increase also includes milk and à la carte items.
Lorenz says the board also opened and approved bids for the district’s bread, milk and feud service needs for 2025-2026 school year.
Lorenz also went into detail on the Community Eligibility Program and the criteria for free and reduced meals.
The Board of Education also set its tax rate hearing for 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 26.
