The Concordia Board of Aldermen gave approval to a service agreement with Smico Services during its meeting on Monday, July 21.

The agreement is for on-call and after hours services relating to the city’s wastewater and sewer system.

The board previously reviewed this agreement during its July 7 meeting, where the board decided to propose an amendment to the length of the agreement. However, City Administrator Dale Klussman says the board took another look at the agreement and decided to move forward with the original length of the contract.

The board did approve the agreement, which will be in effect for a two-year period beginning on July 24.
