A two-vehicle collision on Interstate-70 in Saline County left a Cape Girardeau man with moderate injuries on Saturday, July 26.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a 59-year-old Cape Girardeau man struck the towed unit of a 2019 Peterbilt as it was attempting to merge onto the Interstate.

The Cape Girardeau man was dealt moderate injuries and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The accident was reported at 12:48 a.m. at mile marker 70 on eastbound I-70.
