A planned water outage is scheduled next week for the some of the Saline County customers of the Consolidated Public Water Supply District No. 2 as crews install five new valves and hydrants at the water tower on Highway 127.
The work will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 12. The district’s customers in Saline County, except the City of Blackburn, may experience little to no water throughout the day. Residents should prepare Monday evening by drawing enough water for drinking and cooking purposes to get you through the day and possibly into the evening.
District employees will work until water service is restored. After water service is restored, there will be a boil advisory in effect until 8 a.m. Friday, August 15.
The outage is for the Consolidated Public Water Supply District No. 2 in western Saline County, and not the Public Water Supply District No. 2 that serves Slater and Gilliam. You can view a map of the areas affected below. Anyone with questions should call the office at 660-584-2344.
