A weeklong celebration of Lexington gets underway Saturday when the city hosts its annual Community Fair.
The fair begins this Saturday with the Cannonball Car Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street, and the baby show at The Lex beginning at 10 a.m. It’ll be the 33rd Community Fair that Deb Bagley has helped organize, and she tells KMMO News the weeklong event features various groups in Lexington.
Bagley says more than 50 events are planned for the next week, including a pickleball tournament Sunday and cornhole tournament next Thursday, Aug. 14.
Activities also scheduled for Aug. 16 include frog and turtle races at 10 a.m., the fair parade at 11 a.m., a kids community fun fest and bubble extravaganza, and ping pong drop. The full schedule is available on the Lexington Community Fair’s website.
