Visitors to the Missouri State Fair on Thursday, Aug. 14 and Friday, Aug. 15 will have the opportunity to catch a tram to the construction site for the Governor Michael L Parson Arena.

Fair director Jason Moore says representatives for Nabholz Construction will welcome visitors to the construction site both days from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., allowing them to see how construction of the new 150,000 square foot indoor arena.

The warm-up arena and steel for the southern half of the arena is up. Construction has paused during the fair, but Moore says crews are ready to complete steel work as soon as the fair concludes.

The Missouri State Fair continues until Aug. 17 in Sedalia.
