The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a two-year-old girl drowned near her Gravois Mills home Wednesday, Aug. 13.

The Patrol reports that the two-year-old wandered from her home and was discovered around 10:30 a.m. in the Gravois Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks, floating face-up. The girl was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead about two hours later. The Gravois Fire Department and Morgan County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.
