The Kansas City Royals took care of business at home, taking down the Chicago White Sox 3-1 on Friday, August 15.

Maikel Garcia put the Royals on the board in the first inning with an RBI single. Chicago would tie the game in the fourth with Lenyn Sosa’s solo shot, but Salvador Perez responded with a solo homer of his own to put the Royals up for good.

Adam Frazier contributed an RBI double in the sixth to extend the lead.

Carlos Estevez closed out the game in the ninth for his 31st save.

Noah Cameron picked up the win, going 5.1 innings while allowing a run on six hits and two walks.

The Royals improve to 61-61, sitting at third in the AL Central and ten games back of Detroit. The Royals will go for the series win today. Pregame begins at 5:30 p.m., with first pitch at 6:10 on KMMO FM 102.9.
