The Sedalia Parks and Recreation Department has announced a request for proposals (RFP) for the installation of new security fencing around the sanitary lagoon sites at Clover Dell Park, located at 5257 West 32nd Street in Sedalia.
The project calls for the purchase and installation of two commercial-grade chain link fences. The first lagoon site requires approximately 480 feet of fencing, while the second site requires about 240 feet. Each will be enclosed with galvanized, 9-gauge chain link fencing, posts, top rails, and 12-foot-wide double swing gates to ensure durability and secure access.
Interested contractors are required to submit sealed bids by 2 p.m. Friday, September 5. Proposals must detail the company’s materials, qualifications, past project performance, and a complete fee structure. All bids will be publicly opened the same day at the Heckart Community Center.
The Sedalia Park Board is expected to review and approve a contract on September 11, with a notice to proceed issued the following day. Work is anticipated to begin shortly thereafter and be completed by October 30.
As outlined in the RFP, bidders must comply with OSHA safety training requirements, E-Verify enrollment, anti-discrimination provisions under Missouri law, and City of Sedalia licensing and insurance standards. The project will be awarded based not solely on cost, but also on experience, project approach, and past performance.
