The Missouri State Highway Patrol is reporting Five fatalities in traffic crashes during the 2025 Labor Day holiday weekend counting period, from Friday, August 29, to Monday, September 1.
According to preliminary numbers from the Patrol, a total of five fatalities and 104 injuries were reported in 222 traffic accidents across the state. Law enforcement also made 14 drug arrests during the weekend. MSHP is also reporting four boating crashes and one drowning from the holiday weekend.
MSHP notes the fatality statistics in this story could change if late deaths occur, if other departments report fatalities, or if a fatality is determined to be caused by a medical condition rather than a traffic/boating/drowning incident.
