Updated sanitation container rental fees in Sedalia will take effect Oct. 1, following another round of votes taken Tuesday night by the city council.

Residential trash collection fees were approved at the council’s previous meeting.
The council also approved an updated fee schedule for the animal shelter. One fee approved last month was adjusted to remove the word “commercial” from the definition of “mechanical permits”.
The Sedalia City Council also received the results of their annual audit from Williams Keepers and approved a budget amendment to cover the $20,300 cost of the second year of their three-year agreement with ESRI for GIS services. After a closed session, the council also approved an ordinance formally accepting a monetary gift from the Heckart Family Foundation and Sue Heckart to go toward the construction of the Memory Lanes bowling alley.
