A two-day trial in Adair County is scheduled for February 2026 for a Tina man accused of domestic assault.

26-year-old Brody C Lewis is facing three charges of domestic assault and one charge of unlawful use of a weapon. According to the probable cause statement, a Macon woman identified as Lewis’ girlfriend reported to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol in May that Lewis had assaulted her on multiple occasions and, on at least one occasion, pointed a firearm at her.  At the time, Lewis had recently joined the Macon County Sheriff’s Department after working for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department. Lewis was arrested in May and held without bond in the Randolph County Jail. In July his case was moved on a change of venue to Adair County.

Judge Matthew Wilson has scheduled the jury trial to take place Feb. 23 and 24, with a pre-trial conference scheduled for Jan. 5.
