
A Glasgow man died in a one-vehicle accident along a Howard County roadway on Wednesday, September 17.
The accident was reported at 11:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 5, about seven miles east of Glasgow. A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by a 74-year-old Glasgow man traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road, overcorrected and the went off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned and ejected the driver, who was reportedly not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
