A second Kaysinger Conference school is on the look for its next superintendent.

The Morgan County R-I Board of Education learned at their meeting Wednesday, Sept. 17 that Matt Unger would retire at the end of the school year. Unger spent the last 11 years at Stover, with his career including stops in Owensville, Versailles, and Otterville.

In his letter to the district, Unger said that serving the Stover community was, quote: “one of the greatest honors” of his life, and that the district’s students and staff have been his inspiration and made his work, “truly rewarding”.

Unger will conclude his 31-year career in education June 30.
