The Moberly City Council approved a contract with Hutchinson Recreation and Design for a new pavilion at Fox Park during its meeting on Monday, September 22.

Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the Park Board felt it was time to construct a new pavilion as the old one starts to show its age.

In other news, the council approved a contract with Larry Beal Tree Service for tree removal at Oakland Cemetery. The contract was approved in the amount of $3,500.

The council also approved requests for two parades in November. The first request was for the 2025 Cowboys for Christmas Parade on November 1. The second request came from the Moberly VFW Post 2654 to hold the 2025 Veteran’s Day Parade on November 8.
