The Fayette Board of Aldermen ratified the recent hire of its new building inspector during it most recent meeting.
The city hired Tracy Read to serve as the part-time building inspector. It was pointed out during the board’s September 9th meeting that all city hires must be approved by the Board of Aldermen, and that Read’s hiring never went before the board. City Administrator Deanna Cooper said the city fixed this by allowing the board to ratify the hire during its September 23 meeting.
The board also approved business licenses for Vision Electric, Allen Industries, BB’s Donuts, and Empire Trenching and Dirt Work during the meeting as well.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14.
