The Town of Carrollton will hold a public hearing Monday evening prior to their council meeting to field comment on a proposal to condemn a dangerous building.

The hearing at 6 p.m. will center on a building on the 300 block of East Third Threet. Under new business, the Carrollton Town Council is also expected to consider demolition bids for a building on the 900 block of South Main, and continue discussion on an ordinance amending solid waste pickup.

Also meeting Monday evening at 6 p.m. is the Moberly City Council, who will consider a new name for the East Outer Road from U.S. Route 24 north to Omar Bradley Airport, and accept two reports concerning properties in the city that recently required nuisance abatement. The Higginsville Board of Aldermen also meets at 6 p.m., with Jennifer Clayton expected to receive recognition for 25 years of service to the city.

The Sedalia City Council will have two permit fee waiver requests to consider when they meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday night. In addition to a request from the Sedalia-Pettis County Economic Development for their new offices at the Thompson Meadows Industrial Park, the council will review one from State Fair Community College for the remodeling of their coffee shop next to the Donald C Proctor Library in the Yeater Learning Center. The council will also receive strategic planning presentations from the Cemetery and Airport departments, the first presentations as part of the annual process to adopt the city’s budget for Fiscal Year 2027.

The Concordia Board of Aldermen will also convene at 5 p.m. Monday night, while the Boonville City Council will have their meeting at 7 p.m.
