
A Knob Noster man suffered serious injury after his pickup went off a Pettis County roadway Sunday, Oct. 5.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 43-year-old man missed the curve as he was driving east on Smelser Road, just west of U.S. Route 65. At around 5:25 a.m., the truck went off the right side of the roadway and into a large tree. The driver was taken to a Columbia hospital. It’s not known if he was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
