Nightly lane closures are scheduled for next week along Interstate 70 in western Lafayette County.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close a lane in each direction beginning Monday, Oct. 13 between the Sni-A-Bar Creek outside Grain Valley in Jackson County to the intersection with Routes M and O east of Odessa. This will allow crews to conduct pavement analysis work as part of the Improve I-70 project that will add a third lane of travel between Blue Springs and Odessa. The lane closures are scheduled to last until the morning of Friday, Oct. 18.

The entire project between Blue Springs and Odessa is scheduled to take until the end of 2028 to complete.
