A motorcyclist was seriously injured when his bike struck another vehicle in Johnson County on Thursday, Oct 9.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 20-year-old man with an address at Whiteman Air Force Base was westbound on Route DD about four miles east of Warrensburg. Troopers report that at around 4:45 p.m., the man’s motorcycle struck an eastbound vehicle that had slowed down for traffic. The man was taken to a Kansas City area hospital. No injures were reported for the other driver. Troopers say the motorcyclist had the proper safety equipment on at the time of the crash.
