The Concordia R-II Board of Education approved filing dates for the April 2026 election and reviewed a Parents as Teachers (PAT) agreement with the Lafayette County School District during its meeting last week.

Filing for next April’s election begins at 8 a.m. on December 9th, and ends December 30th at 5 p.m. Superintendent Theresa Christian says the dates were set at the state level before being approved by the board.

 

The General Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

The board also renewed a Parents as Teachers agreement with Lafayette County. Christian says the agreement continues a partnership established last year by both districts.

 

Christian calls the agreement a “win-win” for both school districts.

The board also recognized Nichole Estes as its Dual Credit Scholarship winner. This is a scholarship the Board of Education sponsors to cover the course tuition for a student taking a dual credit course.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12.
