A juvenile is receiving treatment in a Columbia hospital after being struck by oncoming traffic Tuesday, Oct. 14 in Marshall.

According to Marshall Police, the juvenile was a pedestrian on Vest Street, when at around 7:55 p.m., a vehicle struck the pedestrian at the intersection of Vest and Lyon. It’s believed the juvenile was walking west toward U.S. Route 65. Marshall Fire and Saline County Ambulance also responded to the incident. The juvenile was taken by Saline County Ambulance to a Columbia hospital for treatment.

No other details have been released at this time.
