jail-guilty

A Slater woman was sentenced to life imprisonment after admitting in court to her role in the 2021 murder of a Malta Bend woman.

53-year-old Tammy Hrabe was sentenced Tuesday afternoon to life in prison, after entering a guilty plea in August to a second-degree murder charge. She also admitted in court to charges of abandonment of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence. Hrabe was one of two people initially charged with first-degree murder in connection with the October 2021 death of Judith Young. Court documents accused Hrabe along with Wayne Hrabe of suffocating Young, then placing her body in the Missouri River. The two had claimed they were helping Young end her own life. Wayne Hrabe died in prison in June 2022.
