The Missouri Department of Transportation has completed the replacement of a bridge in Emma ahead of schedule.

The Route Y bridge over Interstate 70 at Exit 62, along the Saline/Lafayette county line, had closed in April for replacement, with the project planned to wrap up in December. MoDOT has announced that the bridge reopened Wednesday, Oct. 15, six weeks ahead of schedule. The area remains a work zone as final improvements are put in place during the rest of the month.
