The Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen approved a request from GFL Environmental to change the scheduled trash pickup day for residential customers during its meeting on Monday, October 13.
According to minutes from the meeting, GFL requested to pick up the whole town on Wednesdays moving forward. This includes both the east and west side of town. GLF stated it would send out notices to all residents about the change. The board approved the request with a unanimous vote.
The board also voted to partner with Community Bank of Marshall to join the Marshall-Saline Development Corporation as a voting member. The city has to contribute $10,000 to MSDC to have a voting member on the board. Community Bank is partnering with city to defray some of the expense.
The board also decided to change the date for its next meeting from November 10 to November 17.
