The Knob Noster Board of Aldermen decided to table action relating to the bids it received for water tower maintenance during its meeting on Tuesday, October 21.

The board is interested in conducting interior maintenance on the city’s water tower to proactively prevent future problems with the city’s water system. City Administrator Cameron Jackson says the board reviewed each of the bids during its meeting.

Jackson says the board tabled any action on these bids until the next meeting in order to give city staff time to meet with the city’s engineer and to come up with the necessary funding.

In other news, the board approved a request to lift penalties for water and sewer customer during October and November. Jackson says the city is doing this to take a proactive approach to help out its largely military community.

The board’s next meeting is set for Tuesday, November 4.
