A Warrensburg man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 50 in Johnson County early Saturday morning.

The accident was reported at 2:22 a.m. as a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old Warrensburg man traveled off the left side of eastbound U.S. Highway 50, west of Northwest 250 Road. The vehicle then struck a sign and then a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Johnson County Coroner.

This is the 64th fatal crash and 70th fatality investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop A in 2025.
