Carrollton R-VII School District parents, staff and students will need to update their contact lists the next time the district sends them a text update.

Supt. Dr Tinna Croy tells KMMO News that the district is moving away from a standalone Textcaster system to one that’s available as part of their web services.

The move from Textcaster to Apptegy will take place Monday, Nov. 1. The switch came up during October’s board of education meeting, as the outgoing service has been supported by a donation from Carroll County Trust Company. Croy says the board passed an updated agreement with the bank.

The district informed its patrons of the switch Friday afternoon:
