The City of Sedalia began storm drainage improvement work on Liberty Park Boulevard on Monday, November 17.

According to the city, the contractor was originally allotted 60 days to complete the project; however, additional work has been added to the scope. At this time, the project is expected to take approximately 90 days to finish.

Residents can expect crews working in the project area throughout the duration of construction. While Liberty Park Blvd will generally remain open, there may be brief lane restrictions or temporary closures as needed to safely complete the work.

Also on Monday, Sedalia’s Water Department will began the Grand Avenue Water Main Replacement Project. The project area extends along Grand Avenue from 24th Street south to 36th Street. The project is scheduled for completion by April 1, 2026.
