Marshall’s Planning and Zoning Commission will welcome a new member ahead of three public hearings scheduled for next month.

Kehrman provided a recap of last week’s meeting during the Tuesday, Nov. 18 meeting of the Marshall City Council, where council members approved the appointment of a new commission member. Mayor Craig Thompson says the appointment is good for three years.

The city council also gave second reading to an ordinance calling the April 7, 2026 municipal election. The mayor’s position and a seat in each of Marshall’s four wards will go on the ballot. The council also approved payment to Emery Sapp and Sons for the remaining $151,258.92 due for reconstruction of the airport’s parallel taxiway. First reading was also given to an agreement between the Board of Public Works and SOA Architecture for services related to the Marshall Municipal Utilities Administration Building and Shop Project.
