A Morgan County native will return to the area to become the next superintendent at Stover.

Dr Chris Marshall was named Stover’s next superintendent by the Morgan County R-I Board of Education last week. Marshall will bring 14 years of administrative experience, much of that acquired when he was an activities director, high school principal and assistant superintendent at Versailles. Marshall has worked as principal at Blair Oaks High School the past four years. He grew up in Morgan County, eventually earning his bachelor’s degree from Westminster College in Fulton, then advanced degrees including his doctorate across town at William Woods University.

Marshall will take over July 1 for Matt Unger, who is retiring after 11 years in charge at Stover.
