Three people sustained serious injury after a two-vehicle collision north of Richmond on Saturday, Nov. 29.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on Route 13 south of East 144th Street around 11:15 a.m. According to troopers, a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old woman from Warsaw was in the northbound lane when it went off the right side of the road. The vehicle over-corrected, traveling into the path of a southbound SUV driven by a 75-year-old man from Polo. The two drivers, along with a 64-year-old man in the northbound vehicle, were all taken to Kansas City area hospitals. Troopers reported that all three people were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
