The Fayette Board of Aldermen approved the second readings for several city ordinances during its meeting on Tuesday, November 25.

One of the ordinances passed by the Board of Aldermen changed the process for camping reservations at D.C. Rogers lake in Fayette. City Administrator Deanna Cooper says notes that campers previously had to contact the Police Department to reserve a campsite.

Cooper says that residents now just have to contact the City Administration office for reservations. Cooper says her office is also taking care off business license approvals outside of regular board meetings.

Cooper says the board also approved the second reading of an ordinance amending zoning to include street level short term rentals in B-1 and B-2 business districts. The Board of Aldermen then held a discussion on an ordinance regarding occupancy permits, and approve the first reading during last Tuesday’s meeting.
