The City of Sedalia is lighting up the holidays with its 45th annual Christmas Lights Contest.

This year’s judging will take place by members of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority Tuesday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m.

Residents who haven’t won a prize in the last three years (2022-2024) are encouraged to enter by 12 p.m. Monday, December 8 here or at the Mayor’s Office, 200 South Osage Avenue. Judging will be done from the street view based on lighting, originality, and overall appeal.

Prizes include $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third.

Participants should have their lights on by 6:30 p.m. for the judges on December 9th.
