Twelve wayfinder signs will make their way up around Sedalia next year, helping visitors find their way around the city.

The city council accepted the quote offered by Yonker Contracting for $5000 per sign. City administrator Matthew Wirt explains that the grant from the Missouri Division of Tourism, which the city obtained after years of seeking the funds, required a match from the city.

After the bidding process in July came up empty, the city contacted potential vendors directly, ultimately receiving a response from Yonker. Wirt says the local firm will manufacture and install the signs.

Installation of the signs will take place prior to the current grant cycle ending June 30, 2026.
