Four marketing students from the Saline County Career Center distinguished themselves at the esteemed 5th annual AdZou Challenge on December 8th, garnering special recognition for their performance.

Participants began the day with a tour of the Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia before immersing themselves in the competition. The AdZou Challenge is a full-day event that immerses students in the dynamic world of strategic communication through a statewide advertising competition. Teams from various schools collaborate to create an innovative advertising campaign in just 60 minutes, followed by an 8-minute presentation to convince the judges of their campaign’s superiority. The winning team receives the AdZou Challenge trophy and acknowledgment on the Missouri School of Journalism’s website and social media.

Representing the Saline County Marketing group were Peyton Marshall, Vanesa Cortes, Trevor Watkins, and Mattie Weaver. During the awards ceremony, this outstanding team was awarded the “Best Tactics” trophy for their campaign strategies. Teams have the opportunity to win awards for Most Creative, Top Research, Top Tactics, and the highest honor, “Team Champions.” The SCCC team clinched the “Team Champions” trophy for their top-notch integrated marketing plan presentation and ideas.
