KMMO is once again marking January as “Read To Your Child” month, and the Marshall Public Library has tips for parents looking to share a love of reading with their kids.
Children’s librarian Teresa Gezella tells us setting a daily routine is key to helping kids develop an appreciation for books.
.
Gezella adds that with colorful characters filling many children’s books, kids enjoy hearing grownups read books to them, even if they don’t voice the characters.
KMMO will air “Read To Your Child” programs each of the next three Sundays at 7 p.m. on KMMO AM 1300. Gezella notes that the Marshall Public Library offers a preschool story hour every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) story time Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.
