The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a virtual meeting beginning next week to detail their planned improvements to Route 7 in Benton County, including two intersection improvements around Warsaw.

MoDOT will launch a virtual meeting beginning next Tuesday, Jan. 27, which will be available for visitors to the project’s page on MoDOT’s website until Feb. 3. An in-person meeting will follow Feb. 3 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the North Elementary School in Warsaw. Both meetings will show the plans to convert the intersection of Route 7 and Cold Springs Avenue into a roundabout, and the installation of a pedestrian signal at Main Street in Warsaw. The meetings are come-and-go, with no formal presentation planned.

The $3.4 million project will include the installation of additional safety signing along Route 7 through Benton County and eastern Henry County. MoDOT says the project will go to bid in May, with construction expected to start in the fall 2026 and wrap up the following spring.
